How much does car transport cost in New Zealand?
Most main-centre moves land between $450 and $900 depending on distance, vehicle size and whether the car crosses Cook Strait. Auckland to Wellington sits at the lower end, Auckland to Christchurch at the upper end because the ferry is included. Every quote we give is a fixed price, not an estimate that moves on delivery day.
How long does it take to move a car between cities?
North Island city pairs are usually one to two business days once the vehicle is loaded. South Island moves run weekly around the ferry sailings and take two to four business days door-to-door.
Does the car need a warrant or registration?
No. The vehicle travels on our truck, so it does not need to be road legal. Non-runners are fine too, as long as it rolls, steers and brakes. Tell us up front if it does not and we will bring the right gear.
Is my vehicle covered while it is being transported?
Yes. Every vehicle moves under carrier's liability cover, and we photograph a full walk-around at pickup and delivery so the condition is documented at both ends.
Can you pick up from a dealer, auction or private seller?
Yes. We collect from dealerships, auction yards, workshops, ports and private addresses nationwide, and we can hold a vehicle overnight in our enclosed workshop if the delivery address is not ready.
Do you move classic, modified or non-running cars?
Yes. Classics, low-clearance and modified vehicles travel on the right deck with soft straps, and we arrange winching for anything that will not drive on.
